| 1 | M&L 7.5 cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20 mm size) spread, granite trap or basalt, spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient materials and camber required and including preparation of unsurfaced WBM surface (to receive BM or SDAC as applicable) and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminious primer @ 10 Kg per 10 Sqm using paving bitumen VG-30 Grade and scarifyng or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surface in area not exc. 400 Sqm and depth exc. 50 mm and not exc. 100 mm thick complete all as specified and directed. |
| 2 | M&L consolidated thickness 75 mm or less, premixed bituminous macadam laid, spread using mechanical paver with 4% binder content by weight of total mix, using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 grade by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber using power roller of capacity exc. 8 tonne but not exc. 12 tonne complete all as specified and directed. |
| 3 | M&L preparing black top surfaces by wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, and including applying evenly priming/ tack coat with bitumen primer at 5 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed. |
| 4 | M&L bituminous premixed semi-dense asphaltic concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 penetration by weight of total mix laid using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. |
| 5 | Note: For design purpose min. binder content is specified as 5.5% for VG-30 grade bitumen and it shall not reduce under any circumstances. During design stage, if binder content exceeds 5.5% no extra payment shall be made to contractor for excess use of binder. |
| 6 | M&L repairs to potholes of any depth not exc. 1 Sqm each and including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc,. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and directed. |
| 7 | M&L road marking paint of average 2.50 mm thick for road strips (reflective) of specified shade / colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine, fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heaters and profile shoe, heater, driven by skilled operator on road surface and including cost of materials labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc, scrubbing out old worn out markings etc, as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and directed |
| 8 | S&F road stud (cat eye) two way reflective of size 100 x 100 x 25 mm (min size) and max size according to manufacturer made with ABS material, scratch and abrasion resistant, micro plastic, temperature resistant body fixed on bituminous / concrete surfaces as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed.
