Evacuation of ash from ash pond of TTPS up to all possible lift and including dewatering as required, loading by pay loaders / excavators, washing the outside of dumpers/trucks as per specification on approved route and unloading at disposal site as directed by Engineer-in-charge. The rate includes cost of sprinkling of water at the excavation site, haulage route and disposal site, dozing of ash by dozers, compaction of ash by vibro-rollers and levelling the ground at disposal site to avoid floating & rain cuts on disposed ash heaps as per procedure mentioned in scope of work of the NIT, as per direction of EIC and specification in conformity with pollution control norms, and status and repairing of road in route.The different slabs/leads for above work are as given below:

Excavation of earth/soil and carriage by truck/dumper and spreading this over defined ash disposal area to make a 300 mm compressed soil blanket on the ash evacuated from ash pond of TTPS to make ash dumping area nuisance free. The rate includes cost of sprinkling of water at haulage route and disposal site, dozing of soil by dozers, compaction of soil by vibro-rollers & levelling the ground at the disposal site to avoid floating &rain cuts on disposed ash heaps as per procedure mentioned in scope of work of the NIT, as per direction of EI and specification in conformity with pollution control norms and repairing of road in route. The procedure of filling & compaction of ash shall be followed as per IS-2720(PART-vii&ii). The soil shall be spread uniformly by mean of earth moving equipments like dozers, spreaders etc. of appropriate size commensurate to the working site size/configuration. Uniform spreading is to be done in the layers of 300(+,-)50 mm loose thickness in the entire area or in the strips of about 15 meters width whichever is less. The length of each strips may also be restricted maximum up to 150 meters. The compaction shall be done with vibratory rollers up to maximum dry density of 95-100% Proctors density.
