The concrete surface must be brought into surface saturated dry condition (SSD). Providing and apply first coat of two component, cold(brush/roller) applied, UV resistant hybrid Polyurethane waterproof coating to the existing screed/plaster at a rate of 0.5Kg/sq.mt/coat. Place a 45-GSM glass fiber mesh or 200- 225 GSM raw mesh between the first and second coats while the first coat is still wet. Allow the first coat to dry for 3-4 hours. Apply the second and third coats of two component, cold(brush/roller) applied, UV resistant hybrid Polyurethane waterproof coating with the same application coverage, but in a direction perpendicular to that of the first and second coats. Allow each coat to air cure for a minimum of 3-4 hours after application. Ensure that no void surface is left untreated or uncoated. All coats should be applied in directions perpendicular to each other, ensuring the correct consumption of material, resulting in a total dry film thickness of 1000 microns with system coverage in three undiluted coats at a rate of 1.50 Kg/ sq.mt/coat. Allow the system to air cure for 5-7 days minimum. The material should conform to the specified technical properties:a) Tensile Strength with Fiber ≥9N/mm2 as per ASTM D 2370b) Elongation at break ≥ 200% as per ASTM D 2370c) Crack bridging ability ≥ 3mm as per EN 1062-7-2004(A) d) solid content ≥55% as per ASTM D 1,644-2001e) Abrasion resistance 15mg confirming to ASTM D 4060f) Shore-A 65 as per ASTM D2240 g) Tear Resistance with Fiber 40N/mm as per ASTM D 624.The waterproofing coating shall be applied over the entire horizontal surface and extended onto the vertical surface of the parapet wall, as per the manufacturer methodology as directed by GE/Engineer-in-Charge.Note: All waterproofing work suggested above shall be carried out by the in house application wing of the manufactuer or skilled waterproofing contractor under the guidance of a technical expert from the manufacturer.
