| 1 | Excavation in soil in hilly areas in all heights and depths, in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damages to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side .Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) .All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines ,grades, sides slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and levels as shown on the drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in conformity with the requirements of MoRD technical specification for Rural Road, Section. 300 & 1600 to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites safe manner and disposal of all surplus material to the approved dumping sites through all modes of transportation including head load and animal transport and mechanical means along with its leveling, fine dressing and carriage of machineries, tools, equipment’s and safety measures and other incidentals necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and labour if required. During the mobilization period, contractor should take the advanced x-sec in 15 m interval of whole road length in the presence of Engineer-in-charge or his representative. In case the advanced x-sec has been taken in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge representative, in that case the same has to be got approved from Engineer-in-Charge. The land for dumping sites shall be arranged by the contractors himself and nothing extra shall be paid on this account, filling of unevenness blind age and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer in-charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones ,whether useful or 581.10 (Five hundred eighty one point one zero) cubic metre at the rate of Rs 300/-only (Rupees three hundred only ) per cubic meter amounting to Rupees 1,74,330/- shall be effected on prorata basis in all circumstances .Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor ,which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. | 2 | Earth work in excavation for all type of road structure such as retaining walls, breast walls, culverts, drain and Parapets etcetra in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rock, hard rock chiseling /wedging out rocks (Where blasting is prohibited) as per drawings and M.O.R.D. technical specification section 300 and as per direction of the Engineer- in-Charge including setting out, construction of shoring, bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal of materials upto any lead and lift including dressing of sides, bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable approved material to the original surface in layer not executing 150 mm (one hundred fifty millimetre) compacted thickness including shoring, strutting, pumping and bailing out water (surface and sub soil water ) upto any depth any quantam of water including cleaning of slush which may arise out during dewatering and as per direction of Engineer in-Charge. | 3 | Loosening of the ground upto a level of 300 mm (three hundred millimetre) below the subgrade level, watered, graded with motor grader and compacted in layers to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 of MORD with three wheel 80-100 (eighty to one hundred) Kn (kilonewton) static roller for subgrade construction as per MORD Technical Specification section 300. as per direction of Engieer-in-Charge. | 5 | Construction of 1st layer Bio enzyme (100 mm) (Hundred millimetre) based soil stablised layer (accredited by IRC) to a required thickness as per manufacturer design with local soil material/gravel/murram, having CBR greater than Equal to 5% (Five percent) and treating it with Bio Enzyme in the ratio 1L for 12.5 cum (twelve point five cubic metre) soil , spreading in uniform layer with motor grader on prepared surface. mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density complete as per technical specification incl all labour, materials, like soil and metal, equipments etc., complete, including Supervision (Supervisor shall be provided by Bio Enzyme Vendor) as per the directions of the Engineer incharge of the work . Bio Enzyme Supervisor accomodation, food and local transport will be in scope of Contractor.The soil will have clay percentage by hydrometry between 8% to 30%, (eight percent to thirty percent) including carriage of material within all leads, lifts and other incidentals. | 14 | Construction of plastic cell filled cement concrete pavement, thickness as per design, over a prepared sub base, with 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) or any other type as per Clause 1501.2.4 M30 (M- thirty) (Grade). Coarse and fine aggregates conforming to IS : 2386, maximum in a concrete mixer of not less then 0.2 cum (zero point two) capacity and appropeiate weigh batcher using approved mix design(As per IRC 44-2088, laid in approved fixed side formwork (Steel channel, wedges, Steel plates including levelling the fomwork as per drawing), spreading the concrete with sholvels, rakes, conpacted using needle, screed an plate vibrators and finished in continuous operation, Concrete should have a slump of 30-50MM (thirty to fifty millimetre) with use of approved plasticizer if required. Formwork of plastic cells should be made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), sheets having thickness ranging from 0.20-0.22MM (zero point two zero to zero point two two millimetre) with sides 150MMx150MM (one hundred fifty millimetre into one hundred fifty millimetre) and height as fixed by engineer in charge. Cells should be stitched using thread, thus ensuring optimum joint strength. Joint strength should be a minimum of 2 (two) Kilo Newton per metre. Heat welded cells should not be procured as they are not able to withstand the tension and often break when they are laid in the full width of the carriageway. Iron spikes of about 200MM (two hundred millimetre) long are to be used to keep the cell walls taut. Nylon thread or rope may be used to prevent collase of cells during placement of concrete. Iron spikes to be taken out for use in other place as soon as the concrete is in place. The subbase should be provided with concrete/stone block or brick on edge on either side of the carriageway protecting the subbase with full thickness of the concrete pavement for its confinement and protection. Curing of concrete slabs for 14 (fourteen)- days, curing compound ( where specified) and water finishing to lines and grade as per drawing and Technical Specification of cell filled Concrete Pavement Published by NRRDA.
