Inspection and testing Non-Destructive Test (NDT Test) of buildings by site visit at each building location, investigating different part of buildings, preparation of preliminary data, conducting tests and formulating building wise test result and suggesting retrofitting/remedial measures and submission of report (in quadruplicate) with recommendation for strengthening of building with detailed drawings and BOQ (for repairing) or recommendation for demolition if not found structurally sound.
Rebound Hammer Test (RHT): - Test for determining the estimated compressive strength of concrete and uniformity of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per IS 13311(Part-2):1992, ASTM C 805-02, BS 6089:1981 and BS 1881: Part-202 :1986, BS EN 13791-2019; establishing correlation between rebound hammer and other confirmatory test for estimated in-situ strength of concrete as required and as directed.
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test (UPVT): - For ascertaining the quality, soundness and density of concrete, uniformity of concrete in terms of density as per IS 13311 (Part-I) : 1992, ASTM C 597-83, BS 6089:1981 and BS 1881 : Part-203 and BS EN:13791, all as specified and directed.
pH Value and Carbonation Test: - Measurement of pH valve and carbonation depth by phenolphthalein spray indicator test at selected location of RCC members of the structures covered under the study to see the carbonation depth, cover depth shall also be measured to check the intensity of carbonation attach of steel, all as specified and directed.
Cover Meter Scanning or Rebar scanning Test: - Conducting cover meter test to locate the Re-bar alongwith its diameter at specified location of building under study as per standard engineering practice with latest available tools all as specified and directed.
Stone Masonry:- Visual examination, microscopical examination of mortar, compressive strength and water absorption of mortar, mortar soluble salts content, and chemical analysis of mortar.
Core Cutting and Compression Test: - By extracting the concrete core samples with portable power driven core cutting equipment at selected locations from RCC members of the structures covered under the study and performing compression test in the laboratory for evaluating the properties like characteristic strength and grade of concrete from the core samples selected as per IS 456 : 2000, is 516 : 1959, IS 1199 : 2002, ASTM C-42, without encountering any steel reinforcement.
Structural Stability Analysis: - To examine the structural deficiencies and assess overall structural stability of the structure by using the results of NDT and other tests listed above and recommend the suitablility/feasibility of usage of structure for intended use and its remaining life.
Report, Inspection and Recommendation: - Preparing and submitting comprehensive report consisting of findings from visual inspection, test data interpretations of results, conclusions and final recommendations on structural stability of building along with sketch indicating the location of the test carried out in properly bound copies. The report should bring out the useful remaining life of structure for usage and recommend rehabilitation if required.
Submission of NDT testing reports, structural strengthening recommendation and methodology and structural stability certificate including all the above items for the following :-
M&L for structural audit of G+1 building having Area 100 to 200 Sqm.
M&L for structural audit of G+1 building having Area 200 to 300 Sqm.
Note : The procedure and methodology of structural audit shall be as per the description given in Ser No 1.01 to 1.10 here-in-before.
