Repair to M.S Steel Shutters of Mech. Workshop Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. The job includes dismantling of damaged 04 No. M.S Steel shutters 2x15’x16’ and 2x15’x6’ by inspecting the damaged parts such as slats, channels, springs, shafts, checking of alignment and movement of locking mechanism. Unrolling the shutter pulley to access the curtain, detaching the curtain from the shaft or barrel drum, lowering and removing slats carefully. Unscrewing and dismantling of side Channels/Guides, removing brackets and bearing plates. Dismantling the shafts and springs by securing the shaft to prevent sudden release and gradually releasing the tension springs.Repairing of the Shutters by checking/assessing the slats, shaft end plates and springs for bends, wear and cracks. Straightening, cleaning and recoating with primer/paint. Welding of Shafts, brackets and replacement of damaged springs and bearings. Fabrication of the parts which are beyond repair and lubricating all the moving parts.Installation of the Shutters after repairs by aligning and anchoring side channels to the wall with bolts, fixing end plates/brackets on top to support shaft. Positioning and securing shaft into brackets, connecting springs or gear system and ensuring it to rotate freely. Feeding the interlocked slats into side channels, attaching top slat to shaft drum using clips/fasteners, rolling the curtain onto shaft and checking smoothness. Checking for noise, jamming and smooth operation and ensuring locking mechanism works properly.

Fabrication and Fitting of a new M.S Steel Shutter at RRR Centre Paloura Jammu. The job includes fabrication of Steel Shutter of size 8’x8’ out of superior quality slats , channels, springs, shafts, checking of alignment and movement of locking mechanism. Fabrication of the curtain and the shaft or barrel drum, side Channels/Guides, brackets and bearing plates. Checking/assessing the slats, shaft end plates and springs for bends. Coating with primer/paint. Welding of Shafts, brackets, fitting of springs and bearings and lubricating all the moving parts.Installation of the Shutter by aligning and anchoring side channels to the wall with bolts, fixing end plates/brackets on top to support shaft.
