The cable shall be duly protected by Ist class bricks, two on either side and third on top of the cable, laid in series one after the other. The work includes supplying of fine sand and bricks, filling and ramming of the left out soil, closing the trench and levelling. Spare cable shall be left and buried in the trench in the shape of rings at both ends. All material (except cable), labour, T&P carrier etc, required for proper completion of work will be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. |

| 38 | Construction of 250/400 KVA Transformer of Plinth of size 5’x5x4’ above ground level and one ft. below the ground level of 9”. After excavation of 4” earth, brick ballast shall be provided and rammering will be done properly after that a retaining wall of 9” width by first class brick in ratio 1:4 of cement and sand shall be made. The earth shall be filled up to one ft. below the top of the plinth. After this brick ballast shall be provided up to 6” from the earth level and proper rammering shall be done. One No. jall of 12 mm M.S. tor shall be fixed in the hollow of plinth and one ft. thick RCC in ratio of cement, sand and stone ballast shall be laid on the top of the Plinth. The 12 mm thick plastering shall be done all around the plinth in 1:4 ratio of cement and sand. The contractor shall be responsible to complete the work as per direction of Supervising Engineer. It including the cost of all material, labour T&P, carrier etc. required for proper completion of work. |
| 39 | FABRICATION & ERECTION OF FENCING AND CONSTRUCTION OF RETAINING WALL AROUND 400 KVAT/F.The complete 11/0.4 KV Substation shall be provided with two meter height fencing and retaining wall around the substation. One No. Gate with proper locking arrangement for entry of personnel shall also be provided. The fencing shall be made of 50x25 mm x10 SWG rectangular welded mesh of wire mesh in length. Wire mesh shall be fixed on panels made of 40x40x6 mm M.S. Angle. The wire mesh on panels will be supported by 25x3 mm M.S. flat on all the bracings diagonally and 50x6 M.S. Flat horizontally at the center of the panel. The panel will be joined by bolts & nuts of appropriate size with each other and on the main support on corners including supply of all material, labour, carrier and T & P etc. required for proper completion of work. The painting of complete fencing shall also be done with one coat of red oxide primer and two coat of synthetic green paint. For construction of retaining wall around the fencing, excavation of earth shall be done in foundation in ordinary soil including disposal of surplus earth at some suitable distance. The dimension of excavation shall be 1m wide, 0.45 m deep and suitable length as per wire mesh. After excavation of earth a cement concreted pad shall be laid in foundation. Concreting shall be done with Ist class brick ballast, coarse sand and cement in proportion of 8:4:1. First class brickwork shall also be done in foundation and super structure in 1:6 Cement and coarse sand including necessary cutting and moulding of bricks in foundation depth of wall 0.30 m, thickness of wall 0.35 m & superstructure brick work thickness of wall 0.23 m & depths 0.30 m including supply of all material, labour, carrier and T & P etc. required for proper completion of work.
