Extra rates (%) for quantities of works, executed: Note for item no. 2.24:- The extra percentage rate is applicable in respect of each item but limited to quantities of work executed in these dificult conditions. The unit, namely, metre depth, to be considered for payment, shall be the depth measured from the sub soil water level up to the centre of gravity of the qty executed in dificult conditions. The depth shall be reckoned correct to 0.10 m, 0.05 m or more shall be taken as 0.10 m and less than 0.05 m ignored.

Providing and constructing Gabion structure for erosion control and protection works with polymere wire crates of size 2.00 x 1.00 x 1.00 mtr each divided into 1.00 mtr compartments by cross netting with mesh opening size 150 x 150 mm, made from 9mm polymere rope (PP) having a weight of 40gm/mtr with a tolerance of + or _ 8%, 1560 kg beaking strength (min) and after 1000 cycles of abrasion the rope shall be subjected to tensile test as per IS:7071 (part-IV)-1986, which shall be more than 85% of the original breaking strength of the rope, crates shall be filled with boulders with least dimension of 200mm, all loose ends to be securely tied with 9mm polymere wire as per the specification of Gabions adn as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge.
