Demolishing cement concrete pavement manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer - in - charge.a) Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (i/c equivalent design mix)

Removal of existing sealant by raking out with the help of a metal raker such that most of tha sealant is removed. and re sealing of contraction, longitudinal or expansion joints in concrete pavement with fresh sealant material. Any spalls of the joint shall be made good by epoxy mortar (epoxy mortar shall be paid separately) as per morth clause 3005.2 and technical specification all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (Fresh sealant shall be paid separately)

Providing and laying in position Polysulphide sealant of approved make conforming to BS-5212-1990 or IS: 11433 1995 in expansion/ construction/dummy joints including preparing the surface, rounding off edges, applying 2 coats of approved primer compatible with the brand of Polysulphide and preparing the surface and applying masking tape along the edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and to give neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant etc. complete as per direction of Engineer in- Charge & particular specifications.[Note: For purpose of payment, quantity (Length x Width x Depth) of Polysulphide sealant only will be measured. Raking out of joints will be paid separately in Item no. 2]i) Expansion Joints of size 25 mm wide and 10 mm deep over 30 mm dia closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up rod (manufacturers specifications) and as per sketch.ii) Construction Joints of size 10 mm wide and 10 mm deep over 12 dia closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up rod(manufacturers specifications) and as per sketch.iii) Dummy Joints of size 10 mm wide and 10 mm deep over 12 mm dia closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up rod (manufacturers specifications) and as per sketch.

Patching of damaged concrete surface with polymerized elstomaric concrete (ShaliPatch EC or equivalent) with excellent adhesion to substrate for repair of concrete pavement including cutting of the existing loose ,damaged and worn out concrete pavement in a geometrical shape, the edge of the chipped out portion to be given a vertical / acute angled cut of at least 50mm depth, removal of debris, cleaning the surface thoroughly with air jet to make it free from loose and dust particles, priming the cleaned surface with a polyurethane primer (like ShaliPrime PUM or equivalent) to act as a bond coat for further rendering and laying the material in position etc complete as per technical specification the direction and satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and injecting approved grout in proportion recommended by the manufacturer into cracks/honey-comb area of concrete/masonry by suitable gun/pump at required pressure including cutting of nipples after curing etc. complete as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. (The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of approved grout injected.)Epoxy injection grout in concrete/RCC work of approved make

Applying epoxy mortar (ShailFix EM or equivalent) over leached, honey combed, pot holes and spalled concrete surface as per morth clause 2804.2 and Technical Specification. all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Making joint/ groove cutting by saw machine over the existing CC pavement all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) produced in a batching plant having a Characteristic flexural strength i.e. minimum flexural strength of 4.1 MPa at 28 days using 400 Kg of Portland Pozzolana Cement / Portland Slag Cement fine aggregate, graded stone aggregates of 40 mm nominal size in appropriate proportion as per specification and job mix formula, laid in panels as per drawings/design as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge using Fixed form paver/ Manual method including making necessary provision for expansion joint, curing, etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge and particular specifications. The item for execution shall also include the following operations: (i) Polyethylene sheet (White in color) of thickness 400 micron conforming to IS: 2508 with 6mm thick fine sand layer.Note:(i) The quantity of cement, type of cement and super plasticizer for one Cum. of finished concrete specified are for tendering purpose only. The contractor shall quote his rates assuming quantity of 400 Kg/ cum of Portland Pozzolana Cement/ Portland Slag cement. In addition, approved mix designs of PQC of previous project are available at the Airport, the same shall be followed provided meeting the test parameters of gradation, strength etc.
