Banking excavated earth by mechanical / manual means in layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth, breaking clods, watering, rolling each layer with 1/2 tonne roller, or wooden or steel rammers, and rolling every 3rd and top-most layer with power roller of minimum 8 tonnes and dressing up, in embankments for roads, flood banks, marginal banks, and guide banks etc., lead upto 50 m and for all lift : (a) All kinds of soil

Add Cost Index @ 3% on 0.973 times the DSR Items= 1,37,048.00

Conditions: 1. The agency shall submit the initial and final levels of the ground before and after filling with good earth, no additional payment shall be made to the contractor for taking levels of the ground.2. Under Item No. 1, no extra payment shall be admissible to the contractor on account of any additional lead or distance involved. The contractor shall be solely responsible for arranging and supplying good earth from any source, irrespective of its distance from the site, at no additional cost to the department.3. Agency shall submit the details of the location and ownership details from where the good earth is being procured and shall get the same approved by the Engineer-in-charge.4. The volume of good earth calculated from the initial and final levels (after compaction) of the ground shall be be deducted by 10% to account for the voids, and payment for 90% of the volume calculated shall be made under item no. 1.
