| 14 | Material and labour for constructing valve chamber of internal dimensions 600 mm x 600 mm x 600 mm with 100 mm thick PCC (1:4:8 ) type D-2 for foundation, brick walls built in cement mortar (1:4 ), PCC 1:2:4 type B1 for coping , rendering in cement mortar 1:4, 10 mm thick internally and on exposed surfaces externally up to 15 cm above GL. Bottom PCC floor of the pit should be minimum 30 cms below the bottom surface of valve flange to provide sufficient working space. The valve and other fittings should be housed in center of the pit, the vertices of the pit should be in right angle and champhered .The top cover of the pit shall be made out of 3mm MS sheet with angle iron frame made out of MS angle 50mm x 50 mm x 6 mm with MS hinges two Nos, and locking arrangements duly painted with two coats of water resistant synthetic enameled paint over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
