| 5 | M&L for preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a prime coat of cationic bitumen emulsion (SS-1) conforming to IS : 8887 at a rate of application of 0.70 - 1 kg/sqm on surface of WMM/WBM as specified in table 500-3 of Morth specification for road and bridge work 2013 using mechanical sprayer, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 6 | M&L for premix bituminous, macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness not less than 50mm and not more than 75mm) using paving bitumen Vg-30 @ 4% (minimum) by the weight of total mix of any pernetration compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tone power roller, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.NOTE : (i) No extra allowances shall be admissible to the contractor if the bitumen content is required more than 4% by the weight of total mix as per approved design. The contractor shall quote the rate accordingly. |
| 7 | M&L for applying evenly a tack coat of cationic bitumen emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS : 8887 at a rate of application of 0.20 - 0.30 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in table 500-5 of Morth specification for road and bridge work 2013, using mechanical spraye after cleaning of existing surface by air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge |
| 8 | M&L for bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness (minimum) with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen Gde-VG-30 by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted, mixed in mechanical hot mixed plant and pre-mixed material laid with mechanical paver, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required compaction complete all as specified in the relevant clauses of SSR Part-I (2009), complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-chargeNote : (a) Rate deemed to be included for making good of any undulation/damages in wearing surfaces, where semi sense asphaltic concrete to be laid. (b) Semi dense ashphaltic bituminous concrete shall be designed as specified and binder content shall be provided as per design mix, contractor shall quoted his rates considering the bitumen contents as 5.5%. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted at the rate of Rs 50.00 per kilogram of binder but vartiation in binder plus side shall not be paid extra contrator shall quote accordingly. |
| 9 | M&L for Continuous brick edging with burnt clay brick of sub class 'B' old size bricks with width equal to the width of the brick laid dry on end vertically including demolition of old unserviceable brick edging, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 10 | M&L for 2.5 mm thick painting to road surfaces as in lines, dashes, arrows, letters , zebra crossing etc on roads, pavements and like with thermoplastic road marking paint @ 5 kg/Sqm and applying glass beads @ 300 gms/Sqm over painted surfaces while the painted surfaces are hot by mechanical means including cleaning surfaces, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.(Note. The painting shall be carried out through mechanical appliances by the company's approved applicatior). |
