Painting shall be as follows; First (01) coats :- Self-priming, high build, surface tolerant, cured with polyamidoamine two pack epoxy mastic paint of approved shades and of approved reputed make of minimum DFT of 100 microns. Second (02) Coat:- Two pack acrylic resin with urethane hardener and cured with aliphatic isocyanate paint of approved shades and of approved reputed make of minimum DFT of 50 microns. Third (03) Coat:- Two pack acrylic resin with urethane hardener and cured with aliphatic isocyanate paint of approved shades and of approved reputed make , of minimum DFT of 50 microns. All coat together to be of minimum DFT of 200 microns , as approved by EIC. The thickness of each coat of paint shall be measured and recorded by contractor with ELCOMETER in the presence of EIC Complete work as per tender technical specification. NOTE:- Partial work of approx. 3500kgs is to be carried out in radioactive area. All consumables in scope of contractor/bidder and erection of scaffolding at all height and use of proper personal protective gears shall be arranged by the contractor. |
| 36 | Painting of existing pipe line, pipe support, chemical storage tank, saddle platform at various elevations. Surface preparation of structures, pipe, chemical storage tank, saddle platform includes removal of mill scale together with all rust and surface contaminants such as grease, dirt and all pollutants. Painting shall be as follows; First (01) coats :- Self-priming, high build, surface tolerant, cured with polyamidoamine two pack epoxy mastic paint of approved shades and of approved reputed make of minimum DFT of 100 microns. Second (02) Coat:- Two pack acrylic resin with urethane hardener and cured with aliphatic isocyanate paint of approved shades and of approved reputed make of minimum DFT of 50 microns. Thickness of each coat of paint applied shall be stage passed /approved by EIC.Total minimum DFT should be 200 microns. No extra amount will be paid in case additional coats are to be done for achieving minimum DFT of 200 microns. The thickness of each coat of paint shall be measured and recorded by contractor with ELCOMETER in the presence of EIC. Thickness of each coat of paint applied shall be stage passed /approved by EIC. Contractor shall furnish manufacture's test certificate for every batch of paints brought at the site.Workmanship of painting shall generally confirm to the requirements of IS 1477 Part-II.Supply of paints for all coats shall be fully compatible and appropriate materials shall be obtained from reputed approved paint manufacturer. Including all consumables paint, thinner, brush, emery paper/cloth, cleaner, etc. painting machine, power cable shall be arranged by the contractor as per tender technical specification. Partial work of approx. 500 Sq. meter is to be carried out in radioactive area.All consumables in scope of contractor/bidderand erection of scaffolding at all height and use of proper personal protective gears shall be arranged by the contractor.
