| 1 | Miscellaneous Electrical Contract works in 110kV SUBSTATION & TEST BENCH |
| 2 | Point wiring over/through beam/wall / column / ceiling /cable trays with individual control for light / fan/ bell/ 6A modular plug sockets separately mounted , using FRLS flexible copper wires of 1.5 sq.mm for phase, neutral and earth connection through PVC conduit of minimum size of 20mm with ISI marking, as per relevant drawings or instructions from FACT engineer. Scope of work include preparation and fixing of PVC conduits,modular switch boards, switches, cover plates,dummy plates etc, fixing ceiling roses on suitable junction boxes, modular step type regulators for fans(as required), drawing flexible copper wires of 1.5 sq.mm, connecting, testing and commissioning. The PVC conduit fixing shall either be open or concealed. The cutting of wall and replastering for concealed conduit fixing is mentioned as separate schedule of work. All the switch boards must be fixed concealed, unless asked to fix on surface. If required, holes through wall need to be made for conduit passing. For a point wiring,pipe length of 10 metres shall be considered as one point and pipe length above 10m and less than 20m shall be considered as one and half points and if additional power sockets are provided in same Switch Boards that shall be considered as half point. Sockets shall be shutter type. All the materials required for wiring such as copper flexible wires, PVC conduits, metallic modular switch boards, modular switches, cover plate, dummy plates, PVC box for fixing ceiling rose, PVC Junction boxes(2/3/4 way) etc. shall be in the scope of contractor. Ivory color PVC conduit shall be used for open conduit wiring. If any wiring need to be concealed that portion may be executed with black/ivory color PVC conduits. Suitable lengths of PVC flexible hose shall be used for point wiring above false ceiling as per the requirement. |

Wiring shall be using 2.5 sq.mm FRLS multi strand flexible copper wire for phase, neutral and earth connections, through PVC conduits of minimum size 20 mm with ISI mark. The work shall include preparation and fixing of PVC conduits, wiring along wall and drawing wires as required,preparation and fixing of modular switch boards, switches, plug sockets, cover plates, dummy plates, suitable junction boxes etc., wire termination, testing and commissioning. Sockets shall be 6/16A type. The PVC conduit fixing shall either be open or concealed. The cutting of wall and replastering for concealing conduit fixing is mentioned as separate schedule of work. All the switch boards must be fixed concealed, unless asked to fix on surface. If required, holes through wall need to be made for conduit passing. | 7 | Supply, fixing and servicing of 20W LED tube fittings surface mounted with required clamps/ fasteners. |
| 8 | Supply, installation and servicing of recess mount type 36W, 120 lumen/watt- 2ft x 2ft LED light with color temperature of cool white/day light. The installation of lighting fixtures shall be on the false ceiling, as per the drawings or as instructed by the engineer in charge. The scope shall include terminations of cables on lighting fixtures, fixing lamps and accessories. Supply of lamp including all required accessories such as frames for fixing lamp on to the false ceiling, suspension rod/chain, clamps, bolts, nuts, screws, washers, copper flexible cable,PVC box for fixing ceiling rose, PVC Junction boxes(2/3/4 way) etc. for properly fixing the light fitting on to the ceiling wherever required are under the scope of contractor. Preparation and fixing of concealed ceiling roses/junction boxes, drawing earth wires of 1.5 sq.mm flexible copper cable of green colour pvc for metal body earthing ,connecting, testing and commissioning are under contractor's scope. | 11 | Laying and clamping of PVC/XLPE power cables above 3.5/4 x 70 sq.mm up to and including 3.5/4 x 150 sq.mm, and armoured telephone cables above 50 pair up to and including 100 pair. The scope of work shall include laying and clamping of cables on walls/ ceilings, columns, beams, on structural etc. Wall openings for cable crossing and sealing the openings with cement after taking the cables through the openings shall also be in the scope of the contractor without any extra cost. The work shall be done in a neat and aesthetic manner as directed by the Engineer in-charge. All materials required for the work will be supplied by the company as free issue. |

The scope of work includes carrying out straight joining of LT, 3x240 / 3 x 185 sq.mm armoured cables using compound/heat shrinkable type straight through joint kits as per instruction of Engineer in Charge. Straight Joint Kit, liscenced cable jointer and all necessary tools and items required for the work shall be arranged by the contractor. | 14 | Straight joining HT 3x300 / 3 x 400 sq.mm armoured cables. The scope of work includes carrying out straight joining of LT, HT 3x300 / 3 x 400 sq.mm armoured cables using heat shrinkable type straight through joint kits as per instruction of Engineer in Charge. | 16 | Supply of skilled Electricians for attending electrical revamping works, cable jointing works, disconnection / termination of cables, etc. on 8 hour shift basis. PM works on HT< panels.The Electricians should be ITI Electrician Certificate holder and should posses valid Wireman license issued by the Kerala State Electricity Licensing Board. |
| 17 | Supply of skilled manpower having experience in handling/ replacing/ preparation of base of power equipment such as CT, PT, LA, isolator etc. in 110 kV yard, on 8 hour shift basis. Scope of work also includes modification of existing base by removing old sections and replacing with new GI sections as per GAD inclusive of structural weldings and aluminium painting. Supply of consumables / tools such as welding set with welding rods, gas cutting sets with gas, cleaning brush, paint, primer, thinner, painting brush etc. shall be arranged by the Contractor. Paint will be supplied by FACT. Isolation and reconnection of power conductor and servicing the unit is also under the scope of FACT. |
| 18 | Unskilled assistance for special works like HT bush cleaning/Preventive maintenance of HT breakers/ Transformers/ 110kV Substation yard Cleaning and 11kV substation. |
| 19 | Fabrication, painting and fixing of cable trays/supports of different dimensions using MS angles/ channels/ flats etc. by welding/ grouting to steel structures/ pillars/ walls etc. The fabricated cable tray/ supports shall be applied with one coat of epoxy primer followed by two coats of epoxy finish paint with sufficent preparation/ curing. Supply of consumables / tools such as welding set with welding rods, gas cutting sets with gas, cleaning brush,paint, primer, thinner, painting brush, cement and sand for grouting work etc. shall be arranged by the Contractor. |
| 20 | Supply, erection, testing, commissioning and handing over of GI plate earth pit as per IS 3043 at various locations in FACT-UC. The scope shall include supply of GI earth plate of size 600x600x6.3mm connected with GI pipe electrodes,GI nuts, bolts and washers,cable lugs, funnel etc for earthing work, .The earth connection should be joined to the plate at not less than two separate points using GI strips. The scope of work shall also includes excavation of earth pit, refilling with charcoal & salt, construction of inspection chamber with 75 mm thick RCC cover slab (pre-fab inspection chamber is also acceptable), digging of trenches ,laying of earth cables , glanding and termination of cables etc.Materials required for the constructions of inspection chambers such as cement, M-sand ,brick etc and all other accessories required for the completion of work shall be supplied by the contractor. Installation, testing and commissioning are in the scope of contractor. |
| 21 | Hiring of suitable crane / JCB from outside for handling power equipment / lighting towers / panels etc. This is an optional item and can be used only when crane facility cannot be provided by company due to any emergency work.
