| 1 | Excavation in soil in hilly areas in all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturatedsoil comprising of mixed soil. ordinaary rock and hard rock .all work of rock cutting by blasting shell be carried out by taking all neccesary precautions against soil erosion, damaged to hill side ,water pollution etc, and to protect stability of hill side.rock shell be excavated with chiseling and wedging out of rock(where blasting is prohibited) all earth wok in cutting /excavation including rock excavation shell be carried out true to lines,grades, side slopes, width, camber,super-elevation and level as shown on the drawing and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge in confirmity with the requirment of MORD technical specification for rural road, section 1600 and 300 to achieve designed formation with including hauling material to approved dumping sites through all modes of transportation including head load or animal transport or mechanical means along with its levelling, fine dressing and carriage of machineries, materials, tools, equipments and safety measures and other incidentals necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and labour if required. .During the mobilization period, contractor shoul take the adavanced x-section in 15m (fifteen meter) intarval of whole road lenght in the presence of enigneer-in-charge of his representative. in case the advance x-section has been taken in the presence of Engineer-in-charge representative,in that case the same has to be got approved from Engineer-in-charge.the land of dumping sites shell be arranged by the contractors himself and nothing extra shell be paid on this account , filling of unevenness blind age and finishing of the road to specfied dimenshions or as per directed by the Engineer-in-charge for smooth riding, the Recovery for stones, where useful or 1926.89(one thosand nine hundred twenty six point eight nine) cubic meter at the rate of Rs 300/-only(rupees three hundred only) per cubic metre amounting to Rs 5,78,067.00/-only shall be effected on prorata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public, private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. Cells should be stitched using thread, thus ensuring optimum joint strength. Joint strength should be a minimum of 2.00 (two) Kilo Newton per metre. Heat welded cells should not be procured as they are not able to withstand the tension and often break when they are laid in the full width of the carriageway.Iron spikes of about 200 mm(Two hundred millimetre) long are tobe used to keep the cell walls taut .Nylone thread or rope may be used to prevent collase of cells during placement of concrete, Iron spikes to be taken out for use in other place as soon as the concrete is in place the sub base should be provided with the concrete/stone block or brick on edge on either side of the carriage way protacting the sub base with full thickness of the concrete pavement for its confinement and protection.
