(Note: Water proofing compound shall be paid seperately under relevent item of Sch A as a supply only) |
| 18 | Material and labour for water proofing treatment for internal walls and bottom of UG sump as under:- Base Treatment/wall (internal) treatment :- (i) The entire surface (floor) and internal wall surface upto free board of underground sump shall be cleaned with wire brushes and wash the surface thoroughly. (ii) After cleaning the surfaces apply chemical bonding agent as per manufactures's instructions and any any of the makes as mentioned in Make list attched in Tender. (iii) After applying chemical bonding agent apply 12 mm thick cement plaster in CM 1:4 mixed with water proofing compound as per manufacturer instructions (for the purpose of deviation water proofing compound will be assumed @ 3% by weight of cement.) (iv) After applying plaster curing etc apply two coats of flexible plastic water proofing and protection coating of 1.5 to 2.0 mm thick using two components cement based water proofing material on any of the makes as mentioed in Make list attched in Tender. (v) It shall be ensured that all the above treatment operation shall be carried out strictlty as per manufactur's instructions such as application of chemicals, plastering curing, mixing etc and as directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge. Note:-All arrangement for testing of underground sump for Hydraulic Testing and Test of water tightness of underground sump shall be made by contractor as directed by Engineer-in-Charge /GE. Testing shall be carried out immediately after the removal of formwork and after application of internal water proof plaster. The cost of testing of shall be deemed to be included in this item nothing extra shall be paid on this account. |
