| 14 | Providing and Fixing of Fibre Reinforced Polymer/Plastic (FRP) Fencing for 11/0.4 KV transformers or 33 KV substations, comprising panels measuring 2.00 meters in height and up to 1.50 meters in length. The fencing shall be in yellow/green/pink/grey, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC). The fencing includes vertical posts made of 50x50x4 mm hollow square sections with a height of 2.70 meters, grouted in 1:2:4 cement concrete (holdfasts and cement concrete paid separately). The spacing between vertical posts shall not exceed 1.5 meters and must be provided at all corners. The mesh consists of 24 mm outer diameter hollow cylindrical sections with a 3 mm thickness, placed vertically at 75 mm center-to-center intervals, and a horizontal 40x40mm hollow square section with a 3 mm thickness, all enclosed within a 40x40 mm hollow square pipe frame with a 3 mm thickness. The panels are secured to the vertical posts using stainless steel bolts. The fencing includes a single entry gate, with a height of 2.00 meters and a width up to 1.50 meters, as per site requirements, fitted with stainless steel hinges and aldrops. The gate must also feature a screen-printed nameplate with \\"JVVNL\\" and a danger sign on an SMC sheet. The vertical posts and panel sections to be manufactured using an automatic pultrusion process, incorporating at least 45% fiberglass reinforcement within a polyester-based thermoset resin. The material meets the following specifications: heat deflection temperature ≥170°C (IS:13411), self-extinguishing flame resistance (IS:4249), and non-melting characteristics (IS:13360), with a density ≥ 2000 kg/m³. The fencing must also be resistant to chemicals, have a high-gloss finish, and be weatherproof to ensure durability in various environmental conditions. The quality must ensure good fit and finish, with proper strength as per the direction of the EIC. The job includes all necessary loading, unloading, transportation, labor, tools, safety equipment, and installation with stainless steel bolts, clamps and fasteners (paid separately), completed as per the EIC’s direction. During installation, all safety protocols must be strictly followed, particularly when working near live electrical equipment. The mode of measurement for this fencing will be in the length of fencing per meter |
