Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion,damage to hill side.Water pollution, etc and to protect soil stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging our rock (where blasting is prohibited).All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to line,grades,slops,width,camber,super elevation and level as shown on the drawing as per direction of Engineer in Charge in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for rural roads august 2004 clause 16.2 of general conditions of contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and stage, disposal of unsuitable cut material in specificied manner, trimmingfilling of unevenness blindage and finishing of the road to specified diamensions or as directed by Engineer in charge for smooth riding.The recovery of useful stones shall be made from the contractor and recovery of 1214.92 cubic meter useful stones shall be made @ 300/-per cubic meter on prorata basis in each running bill. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be resorted by the contractor what so ever the nature of the same may be.The servicable material will be stacked out specified /dimension in all leads and lifts as per the direction of Engineer in Charge.
