Repair and overhauling of internal components of 800 mm dia Main Inlet Valve (MIV) including dismantling, inspection and repair/replacement of components such as maintenance seal with sealing ring, service seal with sealing ring, service seal disc repair, forcing screw brass parts including bush, cup seal and studs, disc plate of service seal, service seal centre bolts with nuts and spring washers, including blue matching / seat lapping of service seal and maintenance seal seating surfaces, cleaning, lubrication and preparation for assembly complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Modification of spacer plates of MIV bypass valve including dismantling of bypass valve assembly, machining / adjustment of spacer plates to achieve proper seating and alignment, refitting and operational checks complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge including to and fro transportation along with transit insurance.

Assembly and reinstallation of repaired internal components of 800 mm dia MIV including alignment, fitting of seals and discs, installation of studs, bolts and fasteners, torque tightening, lubrication of moving parts and functional checking of valve mechanism complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Lifting and installation of assembled 800 mm dia MIV including shifting from service bay to MIV pit, removal of penstock dummy, positioning, alignment and installation on penstock flange, tightening of flange bolts, assembly of bypass valve and decompression valve, and making the valve ready for operation complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.Job

Hydraulic pressure testing of 800 mm dia MIV at site including hydrostatic testing of valve body and leakage testing of service seal and maintenance seal as per BHEL hydro-mechanical standards, including required testing arrangements and documentation complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Installation of distributor pipe and supply & installation of new distributor drain valve of suitable size having minimum pressure rating of 40 kg/cm², including supply of new valve costing ₹50,000, fixing with necessary fittings, high tensile nut bolts, washers, gaskets, alignment, tightening and testing complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Application of waterproof epoxy coating on MIV including removal of existing/old epoxy coating, proper surface preparation (cleaning, grinding, rust removal), application of primer and required preparatory coats, and final application of epoxy paint of approved colour conforming to relevant Indian Standards, complete for protection of MIV surfaces.
