| 8 | Providing and applying exterior waterproofing / anti-damp coating treatment to prevent water seepage and dampness on the external surfaces of walls, parapets, hajjis and slabs of the building using Asian Paints Smart Care Damp Proof / Birla Opus Damp Proof or equivalent approved make, complete as per manufacturer’s specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The work shall include thorough surface preparation such as removal of loose plaster, paint, dust, algae, fungus and other foreign materials by scraping and wire brushing, washing the surface with water and allowing it to dry. All cracks, joints and honeycombs shall be opened properly and filled with suitable polymer modified repair mortar / waterproof repair compound to make the surface sound and even. The treatment shall consist of application of minimum two coats of high-performance elastomeric waterproof coating applied uniformly on the prepared external surface by brush/roller as per manufacturer’s recommendations so as to form a continuous, seamless and flexible waterproof membrane capable of resisting rainwater penetration, moisture ingress and weathering effects. The rate shall include cost of all materials, labour, scaffolding, surface preparation, crack filling, tools & tackles, curing, transportation and all incidental charges required to complete the work satisfactorily. The material used shall be of Asian Paints, Birla Opus or equivalent approved brand and shall be applied strictly as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. The contractor shall provide a written guarantee of 07 (Seven) years for the waterproofing treatment against seepage, leakage or dampness from the treated external surfaces. Any defect noticed during the guarantee period shall be rectified by the contractor at his own cost without any extra payment, to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 9 | Providing and applying waterproofing treatment (Hydro lock type) from the internal / negative side of the structure to stop water seepage from walls, slabs, beams, columns and joints of the building using Dr. Fixit Hydro lock / Fosroc Brush bond / Asian Paints Smart Care Hydroloc / Birla Opus or equivalent approved make, complete as per manufacturer’s specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The work shall include complete surface preparation such as removal of loose plaster, paint, dust, algae, fungus and all foreign materials by wire brushing, chipping and cleaning of the surface with water. All cracks, construction joints, honeycombs and leakage points shall be opened in “V” groove, cleaned and filled with suitable polymer modified repair mortar / waterproof repair compound. The treatment shall consist of application of minimum two coats of crystalline / cementations waterproof coating (Hydrolock type) mixed with cement and applied with brush over the prepared damp surface to form a waterproof barrier which penetrates the concrete and blocks capillary pores, thereby preventing water ingress and seepage. The rate shall include all materials, labour, scaffolding, tools & tackles, surface preparation, curing, transportation and all incidental charges required to complete the work satisfactorily. The product used shall be of Dr. Fixit, Fosroc, Asian Paints, Birla Opus or equivalent approved brand and shall be applied strictly as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. The contractor shall provide a written guarantee of 07 (Seven) years for the waterproofing treatment against seepage or dampness from the treated area. Any defect, leakage or seepage noticed during the guarantee period shall be rectified by the contractor at his own cost to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 10 | Providing and applying heat reflective / cool roof coating treatment on the terrace roof / slab of the building to reduce heat absorption and lower indoor temperature using Asian Paints Smart Care Damp Proof Ultra / Dr. Fixit Heat shield / Birla Opus Cool Roof Coating or equivalent approved make, complete as per manufacturer’s specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The work shall include complete surface preparation such as cleaning the roof surface by removing dust, dirt, loose particles, algae, moss and other foreign materials by wire brushing and water washing. All cracks, joints and damaged portions of the slab shall be properly opened and filled with suitable polymer modified repair mortar / waterproof repair compound to make the surface sound and even.The treatment shall consist of application of minimum two coats of solar heat reflective elastomeric coating applied uniformly by brush / roller / spray over the prepared surface to form a continuous, seamless and weather resistant membrane having high solar reflectance and thermal insulation properties to reduce heat penetration through the roof slab. The rate shall include cost of all materials, labour, surface preparation, scaffolding (if required), crack filling, tools & tackles, curing, transportation and all incidental charges required to complete the work satisfactorily as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The material used shall be of Asian Paints / Dr. Fixit / Birla Opus or equivalent approved brand and shall be applied strictly as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. The contractor shall provide a written guarantee of 05 (Five) years for the performance of the heat reflective coating against peeling, cracking or failure.
