| 12 | General Notes1.Only batch mix plant shall be used in the work.2. The Contractor shall, prior to procurement and commencement of bituminous work, submit a valid Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the proposed hot mix plant for approval of the Garrison Engineer (GE). The contractor shall arrange a visit of GE/Engineer-in-Charge to the plant for inspection prior to approval of the MoU. It shall be ensured that the bituminous mix is procured only from an approved Batch Mix Plant, and no material shall be procured or laid without such prior approval.3. Rolling shall be carried out to achieve a field density of not less than 98% of the Marshall bulk density of the approved Job Mix Formula.4. The contractor shall ensure that all bituminous mix brought to site is weighed at an approved Government Weighbridge or a weighbridge duly approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. Each load shall be supported with authentic weighment slips indicating gross weight, tare weight, and net weight. 5. The contractor shall submit the original weighment slips, duly defaced and certified by the Engineer-in-Charge, along with each Running Account Receipt (RAR) bill for processing of payment.
