M 16 Both rudders and steering gear system to be removed and refitted. Underwater appendages to be properly blanked prior undocking of the ship. Renew both rudder seal rings and refitment of rudders shall be undertaken.

M 17 Both rudder blades to be checked for pitting marks on rudder surfaces. Damaged/ abrasions to be repaired.

M 18 Pre and post repairs, record rudder jumping clearance, bush clearance and rudder stock clearance during dry dock and compare with installation readings.

M 19 Pre and post repairs, carry out functional checks of rudder and zero rudder head with ASP and Bridge post refitment.Additional Observation: - Rubbing noise and restriction in motion observed post impact in steering gears. Please Enable Macros to View BoQ information
