| 1 | Design, fabrication, supply, and installation of FRP + GRC thematic wall of total area approximately 400 square meters, to be executed partly as interior wall cladding and partly as external feature wall within the John’s Library premises. The thematic wall shall depict Agra’s contribution to literature, poetry, scholars, manuscripts, books, and knowledge traditions, executed as per the approved thematic concept and drawings. The wall shall consist of FRP mural panels placed between GRC architectural elements, including GRC base panels, vertical divisions/columns (where required), and GRC top coping or framing, all designed in harmony with the interior and architectural character of the library building. The work shall include complete design detailing, theme development, fabrication, finishing, transportation, installation, and retrofitting works wherever required, complete in all respects, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.The FRP murals shall be fabricated from premium-grade Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) of 450 GSM, using ISO-certified polyester resin and E-glass fiber. Each mural panel shall consist of 4–5 layers (alternate layers of resin and fiberglass mat) with a minimum thickness of 5–6 mm, excluding surface coating. The surface finish shall be UV-protected, anti-fade, anti-fungal, and weather-resistant, and shall be coated with two coats of exterior-grade polyurethane (PU) or nano-acrylic finish. FRP material shall be fire-retardant (IS 6746 compliant) and suitable for both interior and exterior applications. Panels shall be fixed using SS 304 grade anchor fasteners and supported on a concealed MS framing system. The GRC components (base panels, columns/dividers, framing, and coping where applicable) shall be manufactured using Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) with alkali-resistant glass fiber, cement, and sand in the ratio of 1:1:0.04. The minimum thickness of GRC elements shall be 30–40 mm for columns and coping and 30 mm for base panels. The compressive strength shall not be less than 40 MPa. The surface finish shall be smooth or stone-textured, finished with a protective acrylic sealer for enhanced durability and moisture resistance. The work shall also include assessment of existing walls (both interior and exterior) and retrofitting or surface preparation, wherever required, to ensure adequate load-bearing capacity and safe installation of panels. Any necessary civil repair works such as surface leveling, plastering, chemical anchoring, or minor strengthening required for proper fixing shall be considered included in this item. All installation works shall be carried out in accordance with CPWD specifications and relevant standards, maintaining a maximum alignment tolerance of ±5 mm. All joints between panels shall be sealed using UV-resistant flexible sealant to prevent cracking or water ingress. All materials shall be procured from ISO-certified manufacturers, ensuring long-term durability, aesthetic quality, and performance. The contractor shall be responsible for complete site preparation, fabrication, transportation, installation, finishing, testing, cleaning, and handing over of the completed thematic wall in perfect condition. This item includes all materials, labour, tools, machinery, scaffolding, fixing systems, retrofitting works, finishing, and accessories, complete in all respects on a turnkey basis, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
