Excavation in earth work in in hilly area all height and depths and in all kinds of soils including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil oridinary rock and hard rock. All works road rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precutions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc, and to protect stability of hill side.Rock shall be excavated with chieseling and wedging out rock( where blasting is prohibited).All earth work in cutting/ excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades sides slopes,width, camber,super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in confirmity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural road August 2004(Two thousand Four),C-1603.1, 1603.2(Clause- One thousand Six hundred three point one, One thousand Six hundred three point two) to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unserviceable cut material and specificed manner, systematically with due consideration to avoiding adverse effects on environment, trimming,filling of unvenness blindage and finishing of the road to specified diamensions to the entire satisfaction as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for smooth plying of traffic.The recovery for stones where useful or not i.e. 465.74 (Four Hundred Sixty Five point Seven Four Cubic metre @ 300/- (Rs. Three hundred )only per Cubic metre shall be effected on pro-rata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor,which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his on cost in all cases including haulaging/ carriage of all labours, equipments and materials to various locations through all mode of transportations in all leads, lifts to the entire satisfaction and direction of the Engineer- in - Charge.
