| 1 | Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kind of soil by manual/mechanical means including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etcetra and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shal1 be carried, out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super- elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, inconformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road clause I603.1and1603.2of general conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal and dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions, or as directed by the Engineer -in -Charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones, whether useful or not, for 126.46 cum (one hundred twenty six point four six cubic metre) in all cases, @ rupees 300/- only (Rupees three hundred only) per cubic meter shall be effected on pro-rata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute. Responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by, him in all cases. |
| 2 | Earth work in excavation for structures in all depths as per drawing and technical Specification clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps-and other deleterious materials and disposal in all lead and lift including dressing of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated . Suitable materials. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades, side slopes, width, camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge hauling and stacking of useful materials for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner treaming filling of unevenness blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in-in-Charge. If the foundation-of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other causes it shall be remove by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases. |

| 5 | Providing and laying of Filter media with granular materials/ stone crushed aggregates satisfying the requirements laid down in clause 2504.2.2. of MoRTH specifications to a thickness of not less than600 mm (Six hundred millimeter) with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and Technical Specification.
