Excavation in trenches in hard / dense soil not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth and not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and getting out including trimming of sides, for laying of cables & foundation of poles, stay assembly, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Returning filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Removing excavated material to a distance not exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Taking out old unserviceable/serviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable covers from excavated trench all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Serviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable cover kept in safe custody for reuse at site and unserviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable cover through in low lying area.

Laying only old reinforced PCC cable cover of any size as retrieved from serial item No- 04 above, complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for factory made un-reinforced pre cast concrete cable protection cover LV class type - I with size 250mm x 150mm x 40mm laid across the cable (i.e. width of cover along the length of cable) for UG cable protection on the top of the sand cushioning, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for sand cushioning with layer of sand 8cm thick before laying of cable and 10cm after laying of cable in trenches complete all as directed and sand cover to UG cable, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F of galvanized iron pipe of 50 mm nominal dia light grade fixed to poles with clamps nuts, bolts and washers or laid under road crossing or fixed to wall including painting with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide paint, complete all as specified and directed. Note : The cost of MS clamp, nut, bolt, washer and GI fittings etc shall be inclusive in the item rate.
