The repair of the snow plough frame shall be executed as a comprehensive structural restoration work using specified structural steel components and approved welding consumables to ensure adequate strength and durability under heavy snow clearance operations. The complete frame assembly shall be dismantled from the prime mover and shifted to a properly equipped workshop for detailed inspection, dimensional checking, and structural rectification. All cracked weld joints, damaged channels, angle sections, and defective structural portions shall be removed by controlled grinding and cutting up to sound parent metal (conforming to IS 2062, Grade E250 or equivalent). Crack arrest holes of 6–8 mm diameter shall be drilled at both ends of visible cracks to prevent further propagation during service.
