The work involves complete structural repair and strengthening of the damaged snow plough frame, which is fabricated primarily from Mild Steel (MS) structural sections and has developed multiple cracks, deformed members, elongated bolt holes, and weakened brackets due to heavy-duty snow clearance operations. The plough frame assembly shall be dismantled from the prime mover and shifted to a fully equipped workshop for detailed inspection, measurement, and structural rehabilitation. Welding shall be carried out using low hydrogen electrodes E7018 (approx. 20–25 kg consumption) with proper edge preparation and multi-pass welding technique to ensure structural integrity. After completion, the entire frame shall be cleaned, provided with one coat of red oxide primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint, followed by alignment verification and structural safety inspection to ensure the snow plough frame is rigid, durable, and fit for operational deployment.complete scope of work had from SBD.
