| 1 | Fault identification & pin-pointing: Locating and pin-pointing of fault in 33 kV XLPE cable by sectionalizing, testing, thumping, route tracing etc., including arranging shutdown, necessary T&P, manpower and submission of test results, complete to the satisfaction of Area Incharge. |
| 2 | Excavation (Digging), Backfilling & restoration: Excavation of trench/pit of required size & depth including cutting of road surface (earthen/WBM/bituminous/CC/tiles), barricading, traffic diversion, dewatering and protection of nearby services. After completion of work, backfilling in layers with proper compaction and restoration of site/road to original condition as per authority norms. Any settlement during defect liability period shall be rectified by the contractor at his own cost. |
| 3 | Providing & fixing of straight-through joint: Supply and installation of required type of straight-through (PVVNL Approved make will be provided by the contractor) joint for 33 kV cable of suitable size including cutting of cable, ferruling, connectors, sleeves, armour bonding, earthing, insulation/resistance testing and commissioning, complete. |
| 4 | Providing & fixing of indoor/outdoor termination: Supply and installation of indoor or outdoor end termination/cable box for 33 kV cable including glands, lugs, heat shrink kits, earthing, testing and commissioning, complete. |
| 5 | Cable replacement: Laying and jointing of 33 kV XLPE cable of required size in excavated trench including sand cushioning, brick/protective cover, etc. for length up to 50 meters or as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Cable shall be provided by the department)) |
