Attending replacement of 2 Nos 400 mm dia brake drum fitted with main hoist gear box of 25 Ton ELL Mukand wharf crane (No. 3) at Haddo wharf as per the direction of EIC at the height of 11.00 m from the ground level by locking the hoist drum safely by means of welding, removing the brake assembly & thruster assembly,brake shoes, dismantling the existing worn out brake drum from the gear box shaft by using puller, heating with gas etc without damaging the shaft and other allied parts of the gear box and fitting the new brake drum in its original position after attending required Engineering work on shaft, preparation of brake shoes, test checking of the brake drum’s performance etc, including cost of fabrication of required steel support for arresting the rope drum, safety equipments, tools and plants, labour charges, lathe works, gas cutting works/welding works, cost of fabrication of cotter pins, bolts & nuts, copper rivets for brake shoes, GST, port dues but excluding cost of brake drum, MS Steel angles, MS Plates, electrical supply which will be supplied by the department on free of cost. Machineries such as mobile crane/forklift/JLG will be provided by the department on free of cost as per the availability.

Attending repair works on 02 Nos. 400 mm dia worn out brake drum dismantled from 25 Ton ELL crane hoist gear box by filling the metal on worn out area by arc welding, axial facing and resurfacing the metal filled area on lathe to the required diameter of 400 mm. On completion of repair works the brake drum is to be kept as spare for future requirement; the rate is including cost of welding, welding rod, labour charges, transportation, lathe works etc complete.
