Item No. 1:- Excavation for roadway in earth, soil of all sorts, sand, gravel or soft murum including dressing section to the required grade, camber and side slopes and conveying the excavated materials with all lifts upto a lead of 50m. and spreading for embankment or stacking as directed. 2.11

Item No. 3:- Providing and laying Cast in situ / Ready Mix cement concrete in M20 of trap / granite / quartzite / gneiss metal for steps including steel centering, formwork, laying / pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing uneven and honeycombed surface and curing etc. complete. The Cement Mortar 1:3 plaster is considered for rendering uneven and honeycombed surface, only. Newly laid concrete shall be covered by gunny bag, plastic, tarpaulin etc. (Wooden centering will not be allowed.), with fully automatic micro processor based PLC without SCADA enabled reversible Drum Type mixer / concrete Batch mix plant (Pan mixer) etc. complete. Item No. 4:- Cutting transverse contraction joints 3 to 4mm wide and depth 60mm.. in concrete slab using concrete cutting machine with diamond studded saw within 48 hours of casting of bay / slab etc. complete including subsequent widening of the groove 8 to 10mm. wide at top having depth of 15 mm. as directed by Engineer incharge. 5.17

Item No. 5:- Providing to contraction joints polysuphide sealent (Pouring grade) confirming to BS:5212-1989 into sawed groove widened at top for sealent reservoir of specified size and shape as per detailed drawing including fixing Polyethylene foam backer rod of required diameter (appraox. 25% larger than the initial 3m One Metric Tonne o4mm. joint) over laid with bond breaking tape as per detailed drawing. Item includes cleaning the joints with waterjet / aircompressor and allowing joint to become thoroughly dry before sealent is applied and applying primer.(A) Contraction and longitudinal joints (15 mm. deep x 8 mm.wide) 5.18
