| 2 | Maintenance Works in Ball Mill in PAP During ATA 2026:Work Involves: Collection of required materials from store, tools and tackels and make required site arrangements. After getting clearance, decouple the motor and gearbox. Unbolt the motor from the foundation. Lift and move the motor from the foundation as per site instructions. Any dismantling of platform/providing temporary support structures etc. if required shall be done as per site requirement. Dismantle the coupling from the gearbox high speed shaft. Decouple the gearbox slow speed shaft and pinion. Unbolt the gearbox bearing side covers, gearbox top cover and shift to a safe location. Lift the high speed shaft from the gearbox. Remove the damaged oil seal. Inspect the high speed shaft for any wear. Transport new shaft if required from the store. Provide new oil seal as per instructions. Mount back the high speed shaft. Check the float of the bearings of all the shafts, provide shims as per instructions. Mount back the gearbox cover and tighten the bolts. Check the final float is within the limits. Mount back the gearbox high speed side coupling half. Erect back the motor to the foundation. Dismanlte the pinion plummer block top covers. Provide assistance for bearing inspection/bearing replacement as per site instructions. Mount back the plummer block covers and tighten the cover bolts. Alignment/meshing of pinion and girth gear shall be checked. Foundation bolts of pinion shall be loosened/dismantled and mounted back/tightened as per requirement. Alignment of pinion and gearbox, gear box and motor shall be done as per site instructions. After alignment couple the pinion,motor and gearbox. All foundation bolts of gearbox and motor shall be tightend and coupling guard shall be provided. After completion of work,take trial run. Temporary structures shall be removed and site shall be cleared. Dismantled platforms shall be welded back. |
| 3 | Bearing Replacement of Ball Mill Drive PinionMake necessary site arrangements for the work. De couple gearbox and pinion. Dismantle the pinion foundation bolts. Lift and move the pinion assembly to the work shop. Dismantle the pinion side coupling. Unbolt andn remove the plummer blocks. Unmount the bearings from pinion shaft. Properly clean the shaft and inspect the shaft for any damage. Plummer blocks shall be cleaned and inspected for any damage including interference check. New plummer blocks shall be provided if required. Scope of transportation of plummer blocks from store is in this scope. Mount new bearings on the shaft and properly tighten them. Mount the plummer blocks.Mount back the coupling. Transport the pinion assesmbly to ball mill and erect it on the foundation. Mount the foundation bolts.Check and correct the meshing of pinion and girth gear. After correcting the meshing, full tighten the pinion foundation bolts.Align the pinion and gearbox. After alignment,couple the pinion and gearbox. Gearbox foundation bolts shall be full tightened. Gearbox motor alignment shall be checked. Motor shifting for alignment if required shall be done.After completion of work,clear the site and remove the set ups made for the work. (2 nos bearings have to be replaced).This actvity need to be done if the bearings of drive pinion found defective during inspection against activity 1. |
