OVERHAULING OF SEAL TANK AGITATOR GEARBOX IN NP PLANT FACT CD
2
Overhauling of Seal Tank Agitator GearboxThe contractor shall collect the damaged worm gearbox (ratio 25:1) from FACT CD; safely transport it to their workshop; carry out a complete overhaul including detailed inspection of all components; undertake design and engineering of a new worm wheel to suite the existing gearbox specifications; procure raw materials; develop the CI Hub inner diameter to achieve proper fit with the shaft, manufacture the phosphor bronze worm wheel on the CI hub by appropriate methods and ensure the teeth are firmly secured to the hub; perform machining, grinding, and finishing of mating parts to ensure proper meshing; replace bearings, seals, and other consumables as required; provide new keys suitable for the gear and input–output couplings; thoroughly clean, reassemble and lubricate the gearbox; fit and secure the input and output couplings to the designated shafts; and conduct final performance testing to confirm smooth operation. Upon completion, the contractor shall return the gearbox to FACT CD in good working condition along with an inspection report(Detailing initial condition and findings), machining/repair report (Summary of machining and replacement activities carried out, material test certificate for worm wheel, and a warranty/guarantee certificate covering workmanship and replacement parts supplied by the contractor.
