| 1 | M & L Raking out of old existing sealant compound andback up rod of the existing joints by special tools likecutting blades/machines, widening of Dummy joints by 2 mmby using joint cutting blades of appropriate sizestraight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughlywith application of compressed air. Joint (dummy) shall bemade dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oilvegetation and other debris Application of two coatsof primer with thin brush by forward and backwardmovement at an interval of 30 minutes before pacingthe backup rod and pouring the sealant. Thereafterfilling with closed cell, medium density, cross linkedpolyethylene foam backup rod of 8 mm dia tocomplete length of the joint, over it to be filled withpolyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirementsmentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875- 2003 with minimum movement accommodationfactor (MAF) of+/- 30% complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |

Joint (expansion) shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned andfree of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debrisApplication of two coats of primer with thin brush byforward and backward movement at an interval of 30minutes before placing the filler board and pouringthe sealant Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25 mmthick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified , over it filled with closed cellmedium density, cross linked polyethylene foambackup rod of 30 mm dia for complete length of thejoint. Finally filled with polyurethane joint sealantmeeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movementaccommodation factor MAF of+/- 30% complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 4 | Site clearance, Clearing away all grass vegetation, saplings, shrubs, brushwood, undergrowth, roots, and trees not exceeding 30 cm girth and removing rubbish upto a distance of 50 metres outside the periphery of the area under clearance complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
