| 16 | M & L for tanking up and down of submersible motor pump set installed in borewell of any depth and size. The contractor shall carefully dismantle all accessories including delivery pipe line, column pipe, flanges, nuts & bolts, gaskets, clamps and submersible cable joints. The defective/burnt motor pump set shall be withdrawn (taken out) from the borewell using chain pulley block, tripod stand or other suitable lifting arrangement without causing any damage to pump, cable or associated items. The withdrawn(taken out) motor pump assembly shall be shifted safely and kept ready for depositing into MES store.After obtaining instructions from the Engineer-in-Charge, the contractor shall collect the repaired serviceable motor pump set from MES store, transport it to site and lower it (taken down) into the borewell with proper safety arrangement. The work shall also include alignment of column pipes, tightening of flanges with new gaskets, proper clamping of cable, reconnection of electrical joints, and complete re-assembly of delivery system. On completion of lowering, the defective/burnt motor pump set earlier taken out shall be deposited by the contractor in MES store without any delay.Final testing of the entire system shall be carried out in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge to ensure smooth running of motor, leak-proof delivery pipeline and rated water discharge. Any incidental works such as replacement of minor consumables like nuts, bolts, washers, clamps, gaskets, wooden/cable supports etc. shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. The contractor shall ensure proper safety measures during lifting/lowering operation and will be responsible for any damage caused to equipment, borewell assembly or accessories due to mishandling.complete all as per specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. |

| 28 | M & L Cleaning of static water tanks of capacitie up to 1 Lakh Gallons shall be carried out in a systematic manner including complete dewatering of stored water using suitable pumps, removal of sludge, silt, algae, and other settled deposits from the bottom of the tank, thorough scrubbing and brushing of floor, walls, and ceiling with approved cleaning agents to remove dirt, scaling, and microbial growth, followed by washing of all internal surfaces with high-pressure water jet. After cleaning, disinfection shall be done by applying bleaching powder or chlorine solution in the required concentration with adequate contact time to ensure sterilization, and the tank shall be finally rinsed with clean potable water to remove residual disinfectant. All sludge, silt, and waste material shall be safely disposed of outside the premises in an environmentally safe manner. The contractor shall provide all necessary labour, tools, materials, disinfectants, and safety arrangements, and the cleaned tank shall be inspected jointly with the Engineer-in-Charge and declared fit for refilling with potable water. |
