The GI earthing stripto be protected by galvanised iron pipe 40 mm bore (medium grade) up to ground level.Earthing shall be include with providing funnel with 20mm bore galvanised iron pipe (light grade), wire mesh, charcoal or coke and common salt in alternate layer of 15cm (compacted thickness) up to 90 cm all around earth plate, further filled with60 cm thick Tibba sandand 2nd layer with 30 cm of Magnesium sulphate powder (compact thickness ) , 3rd layerwithtibba sand up to the ground level. Earthing shall also be include for providing concrete earth pit in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 (with 20mm graded stone aggregate), 50mm thick precast RCC (1:1.5:3) type A-1 cover slab (reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bar @ 15 cm C/C bothways and suitable handle made of 10mm dia) including necessary form work, earth work and testing, complete all as specified and directed.Note :- (i) GI Strip upto 7.5 metre is included in this rate, the length beyond 7.5 metre shall be measured and paid seperately under respective items.(ii)On testing after completetion, if the desired earth resistance is not obtained, the earthing will be re-done at no extra cost. |

The earth plate to be connetced with copper earthing strip of size 20 mmx 3mm thick by means of brazing between copper strip and earth plate min 45 cm in vertical length and copper strip also to be joined by brazing only. The copper earthing stripto be protected by galvanised iron pipe 40 mm bore (medium grade) up to ground level and there after with 40mm dia PVC pipe up to test point. Earthing shall include provision of funnel with 20mm bore galvanised iron pipe (light grade), wire mesh, charcoal or coke and common salt in alternate layer of 15cm (compacted thickness) up to 90 cm all around earth plate further filled with 60 cm thick Tibba sand and 2nd layer with 30 cm of Magnesium sulphate powder (compact thickness), 3rd layer with tibba sand up to ground level. Earthing shall also include concrete earth pit in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 (with 20mm graded stone aggregate), 50mm thick precast RCC (1:1.5:3) type A-1 cover slab (reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bar @ 15 cm C/C both ways and suitable handle made of 10mm dia) including necessary form work, earth work in excavation, returning filling and removal of surplus earth upto a distance not exceeding 50 m etc all as shown on electrical plate No. 3 ofMES Schedule Part-I complete to obtain less than 2 Ohm earth resistance value, complete all as specified and directed. |

Testing of earth value shall be arranged by the contractor without any extra cost.3.Value obtained of earh must be below 1.00 ohm and tested before Engr-in-charge.4. The unit rates are included for 3 Nos bore hole 80mm dia 3m depth, 03 Nos earth electrode 48mm outer dia,1mm thick and 3m long, earth enhancement compound 30 kg for each bore hole, polymer pit cover as a each set.5.On testing after completetion, if the desired earth resistance is not obtained, the earthing will be re-done at no extra cost. |
