| 3 | Material & Labour for preparing newly laid un-surfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc andapplying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 10 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism, providing, laying, spreading 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) withcrushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight oftotal mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road rollerand Vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.Notes for serial item No 3.00 & 4.00 :(i) The work shall be executed as per design mix approved by GE. (ii)Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces,applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Bituminous concrete shall be mixed in drum type hot mix plant, transported from plant to work at site and laid/spread by means of mechanical paver finisher. (v) Filler for bitumen concrete shall be OPC grade @ 2% of total mix. (vi) Contractor shall quote his rate on the basis of binder as mentioned in this item. If there is any minus variation in the actual binder content used as per design mix approved by GE, the rate shall be adjusted as per invoice submitted by contractor per Kg of binder used. However no price adjustment shall be made if the binder content works out to more than as specified in this item. |
