| 4 | Providing and laying bituminous macadam using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder, transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge, 50 mm average compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 3.50% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in batch type hot mix plant of 100-120 TPH capacity. |
| 5 | Providing and laying bituminous premix asphaltic dense concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 6% binder content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using crushed stone aggregate of specified grading 40 mm compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 6% paving bitumen any penetration complete all as specified and directed. |
| 6 | Note: (i) Job mix formula for the asphaltic dense concrete shall be carried out through Govt Engg College / NABL accredited Labs / other approved agency as directed by GE to meet the criteria of test results.(ii) The successful bidder shall provide the design mix of various surfaces under resurfacing before laying and it shall be vetted through by third party agency i.e., TUV, providing ground consultants or providing ground operator in India as approved by GE(I) and shall be submitted to GE(I) for approval. |
| 7 | (iii) The successful bidder shall provide the methodology of laying, On-site supervision, various materials used for design mix with properties under re-surfacing before laying and it shall be vetted through by third party agency i.e., TUV, proving ground consultants or providing ground operator in India as approved by GE(I) and shall be submitted to GE(I) for approval.(iv) If the criteria set-forth will not meet after laying / re-surfacing and validation trial in that case contractor is liable for further realying and validation including the cost of associated works. |
| 8 | Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade / colour using hot thermoplastic meterial by fully / semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc., complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge and accordance with applicable specifications. |
| 9 | Manufacturing, supplying & fixing retro reflective sign boards made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type-IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc., as per IRC; 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class-2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c back support |
