| 1 | Topographical Survey |
| 2 | The survey works shall be carried out to facilitate comprehensive planning and design of infrastructure including buildings, internal roads, culverts, surface drainage, and overall site development. The work shall be executed using modern survey techniques to achieve high accuracy and detailed topographic information. Necessary site clearance also to be done to execute the survey work if required .1. Topographical Survey• Conduct detailed topographic survey of the entire project area using Total Station, GPS/DGPS, and Auto Level instruments.• Mark all existing physical features such as:o Natural features: Trees, ground undulation, water bodies, low-lying areas, rock outcrops.o Man-made features: Existing buildings, roads, drains, utilities (OH/UG lines, poles, pipelines).• Preparation of contour maps at suitable intervals (preferably 0.25 m to 0.5 m) for assessing terrain profile and gradient.2. Boundary Survey and Demarcation• Demarcate the boundary of the land parcel with reference to existing land records or revenue maps.• Fix permanent benchmarks and reference pillars using concrete/masonry pillars for future referencing.• Record the geo-coordinates (latitude, longitude, elevation) of boundary points. |
| 3 | 3. Spot Levels and Grid Survey• Conduct grid-based spot level survey at regular intervals (typically 5m x 5m or as directed) to prepare Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) and for planning of grading and drainage.• Take additional levels at significant terrain features, depressions, high points, roads, and junctions.4. Drainage and Natural Flow Survey• Identify natural drainage patterns, flow directions, and water stagnation areas.• Survey existing nallahs/streams and any man-made storm water systems.• Recommend invert levels and alignments for surface drains, culverts, and other storm water structures.5. Utility Survey• Survey for all existing underground and overground utilities such as:o Electric lines and poleso Water supply pipelineso Sewage lines and manholeso Communication lineso Borewells and tanks |
| 4 | 6. Data Processing and Drawings• Preparation of Auto CAD drawings and submission of:o Topographic survey map with contours and spot levels.o Site layout showing all features and utilities.o Road alignment drawings with L-Section & X-Sections.o Drainage and culvert layout maps.• Submission of all survey data in digital and hard copy format, including Excel sheets, drawings, and KMZ/KML filesNotes:• All work shall be carried out using calibrated instruments by qualified surveyors.• Benchmarks shall be established with reference to permanent GTS Benchmarks where possible.• Survey data shall be Geo-referenced and suitable for GIS/CAD applications.• Benchmark / grid pillars of suitable type in concrete/masonry of standard size at desired locations including painting with identification marks, numbering, labeling etc. complete and as directed by Engineer-in Charge. |
