LEAK RECTIFICATION OF DH VAPOURISER IN NP PLANT:Work involves:The required tools, tackles, chain blocks, scaffolding, etc., shall be arranged. Necessary slip plates shall be fabricated andprovided after getting process clearance at various locations, as per site conditions, for ensuring safe execution of the work. The inlet and outlet connections of the DH vaporizer shall be disconnected. Before loosening the dish end flange, the DH vaporizer tube sheet shall be securely locked with the shell flange. The dish end of the DH vaporizer shall be dismantled after all bolts and nuts are removed. If required, the tube bundle shall be tightened properly with the shell flange for pressure testing. Assistance will be provided for the arrangement of hydraulic and pneumatic pressure testing. Identified leaky tubes shall be plugged and TIG welded. Any additional tube leaks identified during further testing shall be rectified by plugging and TIG welding until successful completion of the testing. After receiving process clearance, the dish end shall be fixed back with a new gasket. The dish end shall be tightened properly to prevent any flange leaks. The inlet and outlet lines shall be connected with proper gaskets. All slip plates shall be removed, and the flanges shall be tightened with new gaskets. The DH vaporizer shall be returned to service without any leaks.
