M&L for earthing with copper steel earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 3.15mm thick buried directly in ground vertically at a depth not less than 2.25 metre below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick packed layer ofcharcoal dust and common salt filling in alternate layers and electrode connections by usingcopper strip of size 20mm x 3mm as earthing leadupto the body ofthe equipment by means ofbolts, nuts, check nuts and washers made of copperand thimbles and protected by light grade 40mm diaGI pipe connected to main switch board or main control board and GI pipe medium grade 20mm bore for watering and including funnel, wire mesh, RCC pit cover and PCC chamber pit with PCC 1:3:6type C-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate, including excavation and earth work in any type ofsoil, returning, filling in approved soil and disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m all as specified and shown in electrical plate No 3 ofSSR 2009 (Part-I) complete all as specified and as directed.Note:- On testing after completion if the desired earth resistance is not obtained the earthing will be be redone without any extra cost.
