| 19 | Waterproofing- (A) CONCRETE SCREED REPAIR: Clean the CONCRETE SURFACE using a water jet to remove dirt and loose particles. Brush apply a bond coat of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP mix in the ratio of 1:1 (URP 1: Cement 1) by volume to make it lump free slurry when applied on in the pre wet surface. Laid to fall roof screed in correct slope and gradient. Mix Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP 10% by weight of cement in (M20) concrete in ratio of 1:1.5:3 i.e., one bag of 50kg cements: 1.5 times volume of sand: 3 times volume of aggregates: 25L water. Level the repair mortar and finish with trowel. Moist cure should be done for 7days. Prolonged wet curing will minimize the chances of cracking and improve the physical properties. Air cure new screed for 21 days, before application of roof topcoat coating system. (Payment of M-20 Concrete will be paid seperately). (B) SURFACE PREPARATION: Break and remove loose and de bonded roof concrete / cement screed, hacked with a chisel and hammer in order to reach up to the sound surface. Roof substrate must be pressure-washed with water with to be used to and/or remove all dirt, dust, chalking and waste products. Remove algae, mold by using bleach solution or bio wash. Repairing of hollow, unsound surface with PMM admix with Dr Fixit Pidicrete URP @10% by weight of cement. (C) CRACK REPAIR: All visible hairline cracks on concrete roof screed more than 0.50mm and not giving hollow sound, should be cut and widen in under cut (Dovetail) shape with mechanical cutter in the size (10mm W x 10mm). Apply a primer coat of cement slurry mixed with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP with the ratio 1:1 (cement:URP) the well prepared groove; and fill with PMM. Allow to air cure. (D) RAINWATER OUTLET / INLET TREATEMENT: Make the surface rough by hacking and chipping out around the rainwater pipe penetration extend it on the larger area around the drain outlet up to 25mm in depth. Apply bond coat slurry mix of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP in the ratio of 1:1 (URP 1: Cement 1) by volume over the corners without leaving any gaps. Fill the gaps around drain mouth and pipe insert entry with (PMM) polymer modified mortar mixed with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP 10% by weight of cement. Junction shall be properly rounded; waterproofing treatment shall be carried inside the drain pipes overlapping at least 100 mm width by applying a coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra sandwich with 45gsm geo-textile over the wet coating while the first coat is still in wet condition. Apply the second coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra with an interval if 5-6 hours all over the rainwater outlet. (E) VERTICAL UPSTATND & MECHANICAL FIXTURES: Providing 100mm x 100 mm Square / rectangle upstand of M20 grade concrete or with PMM around mechanical equipment like HVAC, air- conditioning, solar panels. Etc. Apply a self-priming coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra and two coats reinforced with 45 Gsm glass fibre mesh without dilution in the interval of 4 -6 hrs. Apply Dr. Fixit PU Sealant at around the junction of fabricated stand inserted and wall mounting mechanical fixtures. (F) WATERPROOFING: Apply one coat of Dr. Fixit Primeseal primer dilute with water in the ratio 2:1 spreading at the rate of 8.0 # 10.0 / Sq.mt / Litre in the SSD condition. Apply 1st coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra without dilution spreading at the rate of 0.70/litre/Sq.mt/Coat until all surface is covered. Lay a 45 GSM Fibre glass mesh as a reinforcing material which is incorporated in the coating when the first coat is still in wet condition. Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 4-6 hours before applying the 2nd coat at 90° to the first coat. Ensure there are no pinholes or air bubbles on the membrane surface. Apply second coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra without dilution spreading at the rate of 0.70 litre / Sq.mt /Coat to achieve total dry film thickness of 850 to 1000 microns at forced coverage at the rate of 1.40 litre / Sq.mt in 2 coats. Meet and exceeds the ASTM D 6083 - 97a standard specification. Attains a Tensile strength of # 4.00 N/mm2 with 45 GSM glass fibre mesh confirming to ASTM D 412; Elongation at break #300% and crack bridging ability up to 3 mm, Solar Reflectance Index as per ASTM E 1980 # 105, Water permeability @5 bar # Nil as per EN12390 - 8:2019. Air cure the coating for 7 days. System comes with 12 years waterproofing warranty from M/S Pidilite Industries. For vertical surfaces and parapet walls should be enveloped & coated / painted with Dr. Fixit Raincoat Select Waterproof coating system. (B) SURFACE PREPARATION: Break and remove loose and de bonded roof concrete / cement screed, hacked with a chisel and hammer in order to reach up to the sound surface. Roof substrate must be pressure-washed with water with to be used to and/or remove all dirt, dust, chalking and waste products. Remove algae, mold by using bleach solution or bio wash. Repairing of hollow, unsound surface with PMM admix with Dr Fixit Pidicrete URP @10% by weight of cement. (C) CRACK REPAIR: All visible hairline cracks on concrete roof screed more than 0.50mm and not giving hollow sound, should be cut and widen in under cut (Dovetail) shape with mechanical cutter in the size (10mm W x 10mm). Apply a primer coat of cement slurry mixed with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP with the ratio 1:1 (cement:URP) the well prepared groove; and fill with PMM. Allow to air cure. (D) RAINWATER OUTLET / INLET TREATEMENT: Make the surface rough by hacking and chipping out around the rainwater pipe penetration extend it on the larger area around the drain outlet up to 25mm in depth. Apply bond coat slurry mix of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP in the ratio of 1:1 (URP 1: Cement 1) by volume over the corners without leaving any gaps. Fill the gaps around drain mouth and pipe insert entry with (PMM) polymer modified mortar mixed with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP 10% by weight of cement. Junction shall be properly rounded; waterproofing treatment shall be carried inside the drain pipes overlapping at least 100 mm width by applying a coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra sandwich with 45gsm geo-textile over the wet coating while the first coat is still in wet condition. Apply the second coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra with an interval if 5-6 hours all over the rainwater outlet. (E) VERTICAL UPSTATND & MECHANICAL FIXTURES: Providing 100mm x 100 mm Square / rectangle upstand of M20 grade concrete or with PMM around mechanical equipment like HVAC, air- conditioning, solar panels. Etc. Apply a self-priming coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra and two coats reinforced with 45 Gsm glass fibre mesh without dilution in the interval of 4 -6 hrs. Apply Dr. Fixit PU Sealant at around the junction of fabricated stand inserted and wall mounting mechanical fixtures. (F) WATERPROOFING: Apply one coat of Dr. Fixit Primeseal primer dilute with water in the ratio 2:1 spreading at the rate of 8.0 # 10.0 / Sq.mt / Litre in the SSD condition. Apply 1st coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra without dilution spreading at the rate of 0.70/litre/Sq.mt/Coat until all surface is covered. Lay a 45 GSM Fibre glass mesh as a reinforcing material which is incorporated in the coating when the first coat is still in wet condition. Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 4-6 hours before applying the 2nd coat at 90° to the first coat. Ensure there are no pinholes or air bubbles on the membrane surface. Apply second coat of Dr. Fixit Roofseal Ultra without dilution spreading at the rate of 0.70 litre / Sq.mt /Coat to achieve total dry film thickness of 850 to 1000 microns at forced coverage at the rate of 1.40 litre / Sq.mt in 2 coats. Meet and exceeds the ASTM D 6083 - 97a standard specification. Attains a Tensile strength of # 4.00 N/mm2 with 45 GSM glass fibre mesh confirming to ASTM D 412; Elongation at break #300% and crack bridging ability up to 3 mm, Solar Reflectance Index as per ASTM E 1980 # 105, Water permeability @5 bar # Nil as per EN12390 - 8:2019.
