Use of concrete retarding agent / accelerator conforming to IS 9103 shall be done as per requirement based on mix design. Rates should be based on using 350 kg of cement per cum of concrete. |

(The rate quoted shall be exclusive of reinforcement and inclusive of formwork)NOTE : (i)Consumption of cement considered as 340 kgs / cum minimum.(ii) Any upward variation in cement consumption to achive H - 30 Grade shall be measured and paid under item no:8 below.. (iii) Design mix preparation shall be obtained from reputed approved concrete testing laboratory. (iv)Addition of admixture to accelerate, retard setting of concrete / to improve workability without impairing strength and durability of concrete as per direction of Engineer in charge and as per IS : 9103. (v) Fly Ash shall be used for additional leak tightness as per design mix. (vi) Bidder shall consider cost of preparing and dismantaling casting plateform for Heavy concrete Pre-cast hatch covers while calculating the rate. |

| 13 | Providing and laying integral cement based treatment for water proofing on horizontal and vertical surfaces at all levels as directed by Engineer.The rate quoted shall be inclusive of all materials, laboures and gurantee bond as per specifications and as directed by Engineer. Water proofing agent shall be of approved brand confirmaing to IS : 2645. Entire vault except from top will be encapsulated with EPDM membrane which will be paid in relevant item. NOTE: The Contractor shall submit a bank guarantee form a scheduled commercial bank (other than co-operative bank) for 10% of the cost of water proofing works carreid out. The bank Guarantee shall be valid for a period of five years from the date of acceptance of the water proofing work by NPCIL. |

Fill joints of tiles with cement slurry of 8 liters water / kg of cement and water proofing compound. 8. Spread final topping with 12 to 15 mm thick cement mortar (1:4) over Kota stone. |

Procvide finishing layer of cement mortar (1:4), 20 mm thickness with neat cement punnning with water proofing compound at 2% weight of cement. |

| 22 | Providing and laying Atactic Polypropylene Polymer modified prefabricated 3mm thick water proofing membrane, black finished reinforced with non-woven polyester matt manufactured by Bitumat Co. Ltd., Soprema / Chemistic /General/Membrane/ Tamka/Pidilite consisting of a coat of bitumen primer for bitumen membrane @ 0.250 liter / M2, by the same membrane manufacturer of density at 25 0 C is 0.89 Kg/liter and viscosity 70-160 cps. Over the primer coat the layer of membrane shall be laid using Butance Torch and sealing all joints etc. and complete preparation the surface. The vital physical and chemical parameters of the membrane shall be as under: Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23 degree C as 650/450 or 550N/5cm. Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 300/250N. Softening point of membrane not less than 150 degree C. Cold flexibility shall be - 2 degree C to -5 degree C when tested in accordance with ASTM, D-5147. The laying of membrane shall be carried out by the authorized applicator of the manufacturer of membrane. |
