| 4 | Material and labour for preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bituminous primer using paving bitumen VG-10 at 10 kg per 10 Sqm on unsurfaced water bound macadams and laying bituminous premix Asphaltic Semi Dense Concrete, 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.50% binder (Paving Bitumen VG-30) content by weight of total mix, laying/spreading uniformly by means of mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8-12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note (a) SDAC shall be mixed in hot mixing plant. (b) Mix design of bituminous SDAC will be got done from approved lab. (c) The SDAC shall be laid with mechanical paver. |
| 5 | Material and labour for preparing black top surface (in patches) by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer (paving bitumen VG-30) @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm and laying bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm thick (minimum consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder required gradient and camber, complete (in patches) all as specified. Note (a) SDAC shall be mixed in hot mixing plant. (b) Mix design of bituminous SDAC will be got done from approved lab. (c) The SDAC shall be laid with mechanical paver. |
| 6 | Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust, mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc., cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat VG-30 @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg/10 Sqm bonded with 0.09 Cum of stone chipping 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam binder and chippings) complete all as specified and directed. |
