| 27 | M & L for External wall painting in Two Coats including following procedure:(i) Complete removal of existing treatment, it shall be ensured that the surface to be painted must be free from any loose paint, dust or grease. Any previous growth of fungus, algae or moss should be removed thoroughly by vigorous wire brushing and cleaning with water. Surface imperfection such as holes, dents fine cracks should be filled with exterior wall putty (Make: Asian / Nerolac) or mixture of white cement and fine sand in proportion 1:3. [The surface such prepared shall be shown to Site in Charge & Engg in Charge for inspection before application of Primer](ii) Applying one coat of Exterior Wall Primer (Make: Asian / Nerolac) by thinning 1liter of primer with 1 liter of water. Allow the primer coat to dry for 4 hours.[The surface after application of Primer shall be shown to Site in Charge & Engg in Charge before application of 1st coat of Exterior Emulsion](iii) Applying two coats of Exterior Emulsion, (Make: Apex Weather Proof Exterior Paint from Asian Paints / Excel Total Acrylic Exterior Emulsion from Nerolac Paints) by diluting 1 lit paint with 400ml of water. A gap of 4-6 hours should be given between two coats. The work to be carried outup to 18m height including necessary scaffolding ,staging and all safety equipments, includingcomplete cleaning of site etc. all complete as directed by Engg-in-Charge.[The surface after application of 1st Coat shall be shown to Site in Charge & Engg in Charge for inspection before application of 2nd Coat of Exterior Emulsion. Subsequently the surface after application of 2nd Coat shall be shown to Site in Charge & Engg in Charge for final inspection, etc all complete as directed by the EIC. |
| 28 | S & F of Rolled sections as in main and cross beams, hip and jack rafters; purlins where connected to common rafters and running rails and guides for sliding doors; fixed with angle cleats or other connecting plates The MS Sq. pipes to be used shall be having following properties:i) Sq. Pipes 50x50 mm or Equivalent size shall be having Weight between 2.5 Kg/m to 3.0 Kg/m & ii) Sq. Pipes 75 x 75 mm or Equivalent size shall be having Min. Weight between 6.50 Kg/m to 7.0 Kg/m fixed with angle cleats or other connecting plates, welded joints shall be rubbed even & smooth before painting, providing nut & bolt arrangement where directed, complete cleaning of site & removal of all rubbish / waste etc all complete as directed by the Engg in Charge.iii] The pipes shall be connected with MS plates with & including S & F of MS foundation bolts without any extra cost. Important Notes: (i) Sample of all MS sections shall be got approved from Engg in Charge before fixing.(ii) The Contractor shall make design for trusses from Govt. approved designer & shall be solely responsible for effective performance of structure. (iii) The MS portion to be embedded in concrete or to be attached with masonry shall be applied with two coats of black Japan paint, etc all complete as directed by the EIC |
