Before the sealing insert a bond breakeer ( back up rod) shall be 20to 25% more than the jointso that there is no seepage of sealant through joints edges.The cleaned and prepared joints shall be primed with Bostic N49 primer on the sides of the vertical face of the concrete joints in order to improve the adhesion of the polyurethene sealent as specified by the manufacturer .Fix masking tap to prevent edges of joints becoming dirty due to spillage of polyurethane sealent at the time of pouring.The Part -A and Part-B of the polyurethane sealentBostic seal N Flex 2k must be mixed thoughly for three minutes with slow speed stirrer until the material is completely mixed. The mixed sealent may be loaded into an approprite sealent gun and apply to the Sealing slot so that the finished level of the seal is recessed below the trafficked surface all as specified by the manufacturer ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge . |
