| 3 | GEO-TECHNICAL INVESTIGATION Geo-Technical Investigations shall be carried out to assess the subsurface soil profile, bearing capacity and ground water conditions for the safe and economical design of foundations and related infrastructure components.The scope includes : (i) Soil boring using rotary/auger method at specified locations and depths.(ii) Collection of disturbed and undisturbed soil samples for laboratory testing.(iii) Standard Penetration Test (SPT) at regular intervals.(iv) Laboratory tests including grain size analysis.Atterberg limits, moisture content, density, shear strength, consolidation, and chemical analysis ) (Ph, Sulphates, chlorides).(v) Ground water tableobservation(vi)Preparation of Geo-Technical investigationreport with soil stratification, engineering properties, bearing capacity recommendations, foundation design suggestions and excavation considerations.All work shall be carried out as per relevant IS codes and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
