| 1 | Comprehensive maintenance of sewage line of various diameter and depth and floor/Nahani gully traps, water closet of various size in buildings located with the following :- (a) Cleaning and removal of blockage/clogging in sewer lines including rodding by manual / machineries.(b) -ditto- all as per item 1(a) hereinbefore but in floor/Nahani/Gully traps.(c) Removal of blockage/clogging in all water closets.(d) Removal of sludge obtained from Item Ser No 1(a) to 1(c) hereinbefore shall be taken as credit complete allas specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Notes :- (i) The unit rate quoted by the tenderer is inclusive of requirement of number of persons for attending day to day maintenance of sewer lines etc.The requirement shall be assessed by the tenderer and accordingly the unit rates shall be arrived at. No extra cost whatsoever shall be admissible on this account. (ii) The contractor shall provide the sufficient labourers for the above works and they should report daily including sundays and holidays in the morning at 09:00 AM to AGE B/R - II of GE (M) NAS Arakkonam 1.01 (ii) The following areas shall be maintained by the contractor under the item No 1 mentioned above:-(aa) NORA(ab) Technical Area(ac)Defence Civilian accommodation at poigaipakkam(ad)TS, Arakkonam and other buildings in Zone `A’ area(iii) The contractor shall provide the daily minimum 02 Nos of labourers for the above works and they should report daily in the morningat 09.00 AM to AGE B/R II NAS Arakkonam |
| 2 | Pumping out sludge including water from the soak pit/septic tank/Manholes depth more than 2 M at main sewage line (i.e) not covered above Item No.1.etc. mechanically by using tipper with tanker and non clog sewage pump set arrangement including foot valve, necessary draining out pipe etc and removing all foreign materials, sludge, water including cleaning the soak pit/septic tank/manholes etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note : (a) The sludge removed shall be taken outside MD land for disposal as and when removed from the soak pit/septic tank/manholes.The cost of disposal shall be inclusive of the unit rate quoted by the tenderers under this item.No extra cost on this account is admissible.The credit offered by the department for the sludge removed shall be deducted from the payment made to the contractor for the entire quantity.(b) Pumping shall be carried out in the presence of MES authorised representative. |
| 3 | Taking off existing manholes covers & cleaning of manholes by using mechanical high pressure sewer cleaning machines or similary machineries toDepth not exceeding 1 metre by de-watering and taking off the rubbish / sludge etc., removing the same up to 50 m distance and put into newly excavated pits of suitable size and covering with excavated earth and placing back in position the removed covers complete all as specified and directed. |
