| 2 | Providing and fixing HDPE geocell of size 330 mm × 100 mm, minimum thickness 1.2 mm, conforming to BIS IS 17483 (Part-1) & IS 17483 (Part-2): 2020 specifications for geosynthetics–geocells, for soil stabilisation / slope protection works over prepared sloped surfaces of any height, including supply of geocell panels, anchors/pins and accessories, expanding, placing, interconnecting, jointing and anchoring of geocell panels to the slopes, and providing all necessary temporary arrangements such as scaffolding, staging, working platforms, earthen steps/benches, leads and lifts to execute the work at all heights, including all labour, tools & plant and incidentals, complete all as specified and as directed.NOTES:-(1) Filling of earth into geocell cells, watering, ramming, compaction and finishing shall be measured and paid separately under the relevant “Labour only for earth filling and compaction” item. No payment for earth or its filling shall be made under this item.(2) Preparation, repair and dressing of slopes shall be measured and paid separately under the relevant earthwork item.(3) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include all costs of materials, anchors, wastage, fixing, overlaps, connections, temporary works, tools & plant and all incidentals necessary to complete the geocell installation at any height. |
| 3 | M&L for supplying and bringing suitable approved earth from outside AF land and stacking at site of work for measurement, complete all as specified and as directed.NOTES :-(1) Earth shall be of approved quality and shall be brought from outside AF land by the contractor under his own arrangements. No extra payment shall be admissible.(2) Proper record for entry of vehicles along with vehicle registration numbers and number of trips shall be maintained for each load and duly signed by Engineer-in-Charge or his authorised representative.(3) Quoted rate shall be deemed to include the cost of excavation, collection, loading, transportation, unloading, stacking, forming temporary stack profiles for measurement, leveling of stacks, royalty, taxes, leads and lifts, tools and plant and all labour required to complete the work.(4) Earth delivered to site shall be free of large clods or lumps. Any clods or lumps shall be broken and pulverised to ensure uniform compaction and stack formation. Measurement and payment include all labour, tools, plant, handling, and preparation of earth for stacking(5) Stacks shall be formed at approved locations and in regular measurable shapes to permit correct stack measurement.(6) Measurement and payment shall be made only on the basis of stack measurement.(7) Necessary deductions for voids as per Para 3.6, Ser page 21 of SSR Part-II, 2020 shall be applied to finished measurements. Contractor’s quoted rate shall be deemed inclusive of this provision. |
| 4 | Labour only repairing and making good existing traverse slopes by filling rainwater channels, erosion cuts, gullies, and eroded patches with approved earth from measured stacks (paid separately); and for subsequent infilling of 100 mm HDPE geocell cells, spreading in layers, watering, ramming, compacting to required density, trimming, dressing, and restoring slopes and geocell surfaces to true lines, levels, and original profile, where fill height does not exceed 1.5 m from ground level, complete as specified and directed.NOTES :-(1) Earth for this item shall be taken from stacks measured and paid under “Supplying and Stacking of Earth” (Item 1.02). No separate payment for material under this item.(2) Geo Cell grid will be paid seperately.(3) Covers all placement of earth, including pre-geocell slope repairs and post-geocell infilling.(4) Restricted to localized repairs; no general cutting, excavation, or re-formation unless specifically ordered by GE / Engineer-in-Charge.(5) Rate includes all labour, tools, plant, watering, compaction, handling, re-handling, temporary access, staging, and protection of adjoining works.(6) Density of finished earth in repaired portions and inside geocells as directed by GE / Engineer-in-Charge.(7) Any settlement, erosion, or defects during defect liability, including post-geocell washout, shall be rectified by the contractor at no extra cost.(8) Measurement and payment shall be for earth actually incorporated in finished work as recorded in MB. Engineer-in-Charge / JE shall control earth ordering to avoid surplus. Leftover earth may be used for defect rectification at no extra cost; no separate payment shall be made for it. |
