Replacement of Damaged Riser Pipe Duct of Ball Mill in PA Plant:The Work involves the Collection of 5mm/6mm MS plates from the FACT CD stores, Making necessary site arrangements for the work such as providing Scaffoldings and temparory structural supports, if required. Cut and remove the riser [ipe from thrid floor near howden valve to bottom portion. Fabricate the riser pipe with the materials taken from store as per the dimensions of existing riser pipes including flange joints. Modifications, if any shall be made as per the instruction from Engineer in Charge so as to suit the site condition. Ensure that the welding is done properly to avoid any gaps between the flange and the plate. Flanges shall be fabricated as per the site conditions and the also providestiffeners as instructed by the Engineer-in-Charge. All the welding done shall be full welding only.After completion of the work, clear the site and transport the scrap to the scrapyard.After fabrication the riser pipe shall be erected in sections.The new sections of riser pipe shall be in alignment with exisitng top and bottom sections which is not be replaced. Any site modification on any of the section whether being replaced or not shall be done by the contractor.Each joints shall be properly tightened with proper gasketting to ensure zero dust leakage. After complete fabrication and erection, entire scrap-dismantled sections and fabrication scrap shall be moved to scrap yard and site shall be cleared. Riser pipe section being replaced shall be painted with two (02) coats of zinc chromate yellow primer of approved make/quality and two (02) coats of synthetic enamel paint of distinct colours of approved make/quality. The surfaces to be painted are to be cleaned manually using wire brush to the extent that entire surface is free from dirt, dust, oil,grease or any foreign material. The structural steel after transporting from store to worksite shall be immediately cleaned and first coat primer shall be applied. The ducts after fabrication and erection shall be applied with second coat of zinc chromate yellow primerafter necessary cleaning at all heights and elevations . Two coats of synthetic enamel paint of distinct colours shall be applied one after the other after giving sufficient curing time after each coat applied at all elevations. Any area inaccessible after erection shall be painted beforehand. All costs incurred in painting including cost of paints,primers,painting equipments,cleaning equipments,handling charges,scaffolding and any other incidental expenses will be under contractor\"s scope.
